The Story Behind Community RunFest Rayleigh

Community RunFest Rayleigh didn't begin as an idea for another running event. It began with a simple ambition – to create something that would bring people together and inspire healthier, happier and more connected communities.

Presented by Omnia Community, Community RunFest has been built on years of experience delivering PE in schools, after-school clubs, holiday programmes and community initiatives that encourage people of all ages to become more active.

The question was simple: how could we create an even bigger impact on the communities where we live and work?

Community RunFest Rayleigh is the answer.

More Than a Run

From the very beginning, the vision was to create much more than a running event.

While the Children's 2.5K Fun Run, Youth 5K, Adult 5K and 10K events are at the heart of the day, Community RunFest is also about celebrating everything that makes our community special.

That's why we've created a free Community Festival, bringing together live entertainment, local businesses, charities, wellbeing organisations, family activities and community groups in one place.

It's an opportunity for people to discover what's available on their doorstep, make new connections and celebrate the organisations working hard to support our community every day.

Creating Lasting Impact

Community RunFest reflects Omnia Community's commitment to using Sport for Social Change.

By encouraging people of all ages and abilities to take part, we're helping to remove barriers to physical activity and creating opportunities for families, friends and neighbours to be active together.

The overwhelming support we've received from local businesses, charities, volunteers and community organisations has shown what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

Community RunFest isn't just about crossing the finish line - it's about creating healthier lifestyles, stronger community connections and a lasting sense of pride in Rayleigh.

We're incredibly proud to present the very first Community RunFest Rayleigh and can't wait to welcome everyone on event day.
